Tax Details Help
Are you an Australian Resident for Tax Purposes?
Select if the talent is a resident, non-resident, or on a working holiday for tax purposes.
Are you a Pty. Ltd.?
Select “Yes” only if the talent has an ABN that is registered as a Pty Ltd, partnership, or trust. Per ATO regulations, performing artists cannot use a Sole Trader ABN for commercial work and must be processed as an employee with PAYG withholding applied (see TFN). Only the Production Crew can use a Sole Trader ABN.
Tax File Number
The talent’s Tax File Number (TFN) is a unique 9-digit number. The field turns green when the a valid TFN is entered.
All Australian workers 18 and over must have a TFN. Without one, you'll be taxed at the highest rate.
For those under 18 or children, a TFN is needed only if earnings exceed $1500. If no TFN, leave blank and confirm the correct birth date on the Personal tab.
Note: ATO rules set a standard 20% PAYG withholding rate for all commercial work, regardless of other employment.
Important: Do not use a TFN that isn't for the person being paid. For example, don't use the parent’s TFN for a child's profile.
