FAQs (AU)

My child does not have a super account and/or TFN

Children under 18 are not required to provide superannuation details.

Children under 18 who do not have a TFN may use 333 333 333, to indicate they are a minor claiming the tax-free threshold.

If a minor is earning above the monthly tax free threshold of $1,517, tax will be withheld from payment. In this instance, it may be beneficial for the minor to apply for a TFN in order to lodge a tax return at the end of financial year.

I do not have a super account

For anyone aged 18 or over, superannuation details are required.

If you would like Talentpay (your employer) to open a new account for you in our default fund, please enter the following details:

  • Fund Name: AustralianSuper
  • Fund ABN: 65 714 394 898
  • USI: STA0100AU
  • Account Number: 1234

Do I need a Tax File Number (TFN)?

All Australian workers aged 18 and over must have a TFN.

If you do not provide one, you may be taxed at the highest marginal rate. If you don’t yet have a TFN, we recommend applying as soon as possible via the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

Where do I upload my TFN and Super Choice forms?

You can upload these documents in your Talentpay profile under the Financial tab.

I can’t find my super fund

Some super funds may appear under slightly different names (for example, AustralianSuper instead of Australian Super).

To ensure you’ve selected the correct fund, check that the ABN and USI fields are automatically populated.
