Entering Your Payroll Information (Talent/Crew User)

Modified on Mon, 29 Jun at 9:20 AM

To avoid delays in payment, please ensure your Talent Profile is complete with all required information. Your details are securely stored and only accessible by payroll, you, and your agent (if applicable).

Quick Navigation:

Your Profile

You can access your profile via the Profile icon in the top navigation bar or through the My Profile tile on your dashboard. If you’re unsure what information is required, please refer to the “What We Need” sections below.

Once in your profile, you will need to enter all required information in the Personal, Financial and Superannuation tabs, ensure you click SAVE/SUBMIT on each tab when you are finished.

If you are represented by an agent, they can complete this information on your behalf, as they have the necessary access to do so.

What We Need for AU

If you’re a parent or guardian completing this for someone else, enter only that person’s details—not your own.

Personal Tab

  • Legal name
  • Date of birth (DOB)
  • Residential address
  • Email or phone number

Financial Tab

  • Tax details (including TFN)
  • Personal or company bank account (freelance only)
  • Right to Work Visa (if applicable)

Superannuation Tab

  • Complete the form and submit your superannuation details for verification. This verification allows us to comply with the new ATO laws about pay day superannuation where we must pay your superannuation contribution on the same day as your wage.
  • On submission, you will see a 'pending verification' status on this tab whilst we securely check your details with an external verification service to confirm your superannuation account. This helps ensure the information is correct before we make payments.

  • Once verified you will see an Active status on this tab, meaning all super contributions will be paid to this account.

  • If your fund details are incorrect (verification failed), you will be notified via email to correct the errors and resubmit. The status on your profile will also show the failed status.

NOTE: Wages and super contributions will not be processed until we have all of the above mentioned information and a verified superannuation account to comply with ATO's payday super legislation.

For additional information about the above, please see the FAQ (AU) section at the end of this document.

FAQs (AU)

My child does not have a super account and/or TFN

Children under 18 are not required to provide superannuation details.

Children under 18 who do not have a TFN may use 333 333 333, to indicate they are a minor claiming the tax-free threshold.

If a minor is earning above the monthly tax free threshold of $1,517, tax will be withheld from payment. In this instance, it may be beneficial for the minor to apply for a TFN in order to lodge a tax return at the end of financial year.

I do not have a super account

For anyone aged 18 or over, superannuation details are required.

If you would like Talentpay (your employer) to open a new account for you in our default fund, please select the "Employer default fund" fund type option on the superannuation tab.

Do I need a Tax File Number (TFN)?

All Australian workers aged 18 and over must have a TFN.

If you do not provide one, you may be taxed at the highest marginal rate. If you don’t yet have a TFN, we recommend applying as soon as possible via the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

Can I upload my tax declaration form?

Yes! You can upload this in your Talentpay profile under the Financial tab.

FAQs (NZ)

Do I need an IRD Number?

As you are receiving schedular payments, you are required to have an IRD so that your employer can report on the tax withheld and your earnings to the Inland Revenue Department (IRD)

My child does not have an IRD Number can I use mine?

No, we must report earning and tax withheld for each individual and under the correct IRD number. The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) will flag if an IRD number does not match the name it is reported under.

Can I upload my IRD330c Form?

Yes! You can upload this in your Talentpay profile under the Financial tab.

How do I contact Talentpay?
